Applications of Kedel's Recycled Plastic Wood and heavy duty Mixed Plastic Lumber in building and other construction projects are endless. Above are a few examples, including benching, decking, tongue and groove gates, cladding, fencing, raised beds and planters to name but a few. The river Thames is apparently full of plastic, there are floating islands of plastic in the ocean and landfill sites are up to 30% plastic waste. Governments are legislating to reduce this pollution. We can use it all in building and construction where Recycled Plastic will last at least 5 times longer than treated timber, replacing wood, concrete, virgin plastic and even steel for a maintenance free future in building and construction industries.
Recycled Plastic Wood
Made from recycled polystyrene waste such as CD cases and coat hangers, Plastic Wood can replicate any type of wood in any RAL colour, but will never need paint or preservative. Does not rot or degrade. High level of UV protection prevents colours fading. Customers occasionally complain we have sent them wood instead of recycled plastic. Ideal where appearance of wood is preferred but without the recurring maintenance costs. Lasts at least 5 times longer than treated timber.
Mixed Plastic Lumber
Recycled Mixed Plastic Lumber is made from post industrial and domestic waste plastic (HDPE, LDPE) ideal for replacing wood in any building or construction project where wood, concrete or even steel would traditionally have been used. Kedel Ultra, Kedel Robust and Kedel Ductile are made to different specifications for a variety of applications. Some profiles even include steel reinforced inners.
